What it is

Care that treats the whole system.

Functional medicine asks a different question than most care does — not just "what hurts," but "why is this happening?" Instead of managing symptoms one at a time, Dr. Kramer looks at how your body is actually functioning and uses in-house testing to determine conditions and build an individual treatment plan.

It pairs naturally with chiropractic and nutrition: the goal is to restore the way your body works, so improvement lasts rather than fading between visits.

In-house testing

We test here, so we're not guessing.

We utilize in-house testing to help determine conditions and individual treatment plans:

Bio Impedance Analysis Machine (BIA)
Lipid Panel
Zinc Tally
A1C test for blood sugar
Visceral Point Testing
Stomach Acid testing
Adrenal testing
Allergy testing
Detox plans
Nutritional consultation

Good to know

Questions patients ask.

What is functional medicine, exactly?+
It's an approach focused on root causes rather than symptoms — looking at how your whole system is working and addressing what's actually driving the problem, often alongside chiropractic and nutrition.
Is the testing done in your office?+
Yes — the assessments listed above are done in-house, so we can evaluate and discuss next steps without sending you elsewhere.
How is this different from a regular chiropractic visit?+
Chiropractic care focuses on the spine and joints; functional medicine looks more broadly at systems like digestion, energy, and hormones. Many patients benefit from both together.
Do I need a referral to start?+
No referral needed — Dr. Kramer is accepting new patients. Call the office and we'll help you figure out the right first step.
